Head of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev has awarded several employees of oil and gas industry, including employees of SOCAR and BP - Azerbaijan, today, SOCAR said.
In connection with the 60th anniversary of the Oil Rocks field, the Azerbaijani President signed a decree awarding the employees of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan with Shohret Medal ("Glory") and Taraggi Medal ("Progress").
Upon another decree by the Head of State, employees of SOCAR were awarded the honorary title "Distinguished Engineer".
A number of leading oil workers were also awarded an honorary diploma of SOCAR and a commemorative medal "Contract of the Century - 15".
