The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Geophysics and Geology Department has developed, prepared and introduced the new method and the corresponding package of programs, which enable the qualitative and quantitative forecasting of zones of anomalous high layer pressure on the basis of geo-seismic data, the Department said.
Introduction of the new technology will allow forecasting the zone of anomalous high layer pressure before drilling in new areas, as well as submitting proposals for preventing possible complications and emergencies.
