About $ 20 billion were invested in the oil and gas industry of Iran during the past nine months (a year ends in March in Iran), Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Hossein Nogrekar-Shiraziwas quoted as saying by the Irna news agency. The figure is projected to reach $ 30 billion in March, he added.
According to him, the government and the private sector (local and foreign companies) in the oil and gas industry of Iran invested $66 billion in the past four years.
The country's oil and gas field (including foreign and local companies) is expected to be invested about $30-$35 billion in a year, he added.
Currently, the country produces 600 million cubic meters of gas per day and four million barrels of oil per day. Iran's gasoline production reaches 44 million liters per day, he said.
