In 2009 Georgian port of Batumi reduces oil and petroleum products transportation

In 2009, the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi transshipped 7.8 million tons of various cargoes, 6.4 million tons of which fell to petroleum-product, the Georgian government reported.

In 2008, the terminal transshipped 8.7 million tons of cargo, 7.2 million tons of which fell to petrol and petroleum products.

The U.S ExxonMobil transports its own oil and oil of the Devon Company produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields in Azerbaijan by rail to the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi.

Company Chevron transports oil produced at the Kazak Tengiz field to the Batumi port through Azerbaijan
