Uzbek National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz, a monopoly in the oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan, reduced oil and gas condensate production by 7, 4 percent, or 4,455 million tons, compared to 2008, the state statistics agency reported.
Gas condensate production fell by 5.4 percent, 2.124 million tons, and oil by nine percent to 2.331 million tons.
Petrol production increased by 10.8 percent, 1,622 million tons, kerosene by 12.2 percent, 405,700 tons, and diesel fuel by 1.2 percent, 1,302 million tons.
Production of furnace fuel oil fell by 7.6 percent, 498,600 tons, liquefied petroleum gas by 0.7 percent, 246, 100 tons, and oil bitumen by 8.6 percent, 240,600 tons.
In 2008, Uzbekneftegaz reduced oil and gas condensate production with 2.5 percent, 4,808 million tons. Extraction of gas condensate grew by 17.1 percent, 2.256 million tons, and oil fell by 15 percent to 2.552 million tons.
Uzbekneftegaz was established in 1998. The company comprises six joint stock companies.
