In 2009, JSC Bakielektrikshebeke"(sales and distribution of electricity in Baku) acquired from JSC Azerenergy (Azerbaijan's largest power producer), about 8.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, the company reported.
In December 2009, Bakielektrikshebeke purchased 788.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity compared to 672.6 million kilowatt hours in November.
The company paid about 84.44 percent of the value of the energy purchased from the JSC
Azerenergy.
