In 2010, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) plans to drill 14 new wells in the Pirallahi field, SOCAR reported.
Previously, the company commissioned three new oil wells on the field. The depth of each well is 750 meters and the daily debit - 4 tons.
The company launched the first exploration drilling on this field. The expected depth of the well is 2,050 meters, 1,677 meters of which has already been drilled.
About 25 wells have been drilled on the field over the past three years, from which the company produces 4-6 tons of oil per day.
Azerbaijan has 57 oil and gas fields, including 18 offshore wells.
