A KazMunaiGas subsidiary company, KMG Trade House, wants to supply Kazakh oil to North America and China, KMG Trade House General Director Daniyar Berlibayev said. The subsidiary will soon be renamed KMG Refining and Marketing.
"We have set ourselves the task of supplying crude oil to markets in North America and China. This is an ambitious task and we intend to implement the plan by 2015," he said.
According to the company official, the subsidiary is already engaged in supplying Kazakh oil to France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Israel and Romania.
"Regarding export activities, the challenge is to maximize the income from crude oil and petroleum product exports. We are creating a transport unit and involving Kazmortransflot resources to reach our end goal," Berlibayev said.
He noted that while cooperating with Kazmortransflot, the company will optimize transport costs to supply Kazakh oil to the final consumer.
