The agreements between Turkey and Azerbaijan on gas supplies from Shah-Deniz-2 will not have any impact on Russian gas supplies via the "Blue Stream", Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported.

"There will be no variation in supplying natural gas from Russia. It will not affect the" Blue Stream, " Erdogan said.

Prime Minister added that Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan to meet the growing needs of the country. He stressed that the volumes of gas, supposed to be delivered to the Shah Deniz field, do not make a huge figure.

In his turn, Vladimir Putin noted that he could only be glad for the fact that Turkey is expanding sources of supply of raw materials.

Putin stressed that Turkey solves the problems of substitution of shortages occurred due to the growing economic needs of the country by concluding new agreements on gas supplies with other countries.

"It is important not only to agree on the supplies, but also take into account transport opportunities," Putin said.
