The way to European market goes through Azerbaijan. The project "Nabucco" can start from there (territories of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Austria) with a capacity of 31 billion cubic meters of gas and worth 7,9 billion euros.

Potential buyers included in the Nabucco consortium are Austrian OMV, Hungarian MOL, Turkish Botas, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian Transgaz and German RWE.

There are no agreements for the implementation of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline. At the same time, Turkmenistan declared its readiness to bring annual volume worth 10 billion cubic meters of gas to its borders for the Nabucco project.
