Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation with CIS Countries Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany Andreas Neuman met in Baku with deputy head of the State Agency on alternative and renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan Jamil Melikov within the 11-th Azerbaijan-Germany business forum today, spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Energy Azer Mansimli said. The State Agency on alternative energy sources is part of the Ministry of Energy.
Mansimli said that Melikov delivered the information about the work carried out in the field of alternative and renewable sources of energy to the members of the delegation, headed by Neuman. Parties also reviewed and discussed prospects for expanding future cooperation.
Scientists estimate that only the use of the capacity of small rivers in Azerbaijan can provide up to 16,000 MW of electricity per year.
