SOCAR-AQS is modernizing the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic's (SOCAR) offshore platforms in the shallow section of the Guneshli Field.
According to the the company, old diesel generators are being replaced at the Gunashli-13 Platform, as they have proven both harmful from an environmental point of view, and expensive from an economic standpoint. Two new generators have already been installed that will allow the company to use 12 times less oil during its operations.
A helical conveyor is also being constructed to remove drilling sludge from the Gunashli-11 and Gunashli-13 platforms.
