SOCAR's Kulevi oil terminal is working to ensure the environmental protection and security operations, the terminal said.
According to the report, the need for environmental protection has recently become important for people, organizations and governments. It is demonstrated in attempts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, invest in environmentally favorable technologies and cars using less fuel.
The Kulevi terminal is located in an environmentally unique areas - Kolkheti National Park. It is protected under the Ramsar Convention of Wetlands having international importance. This reserve has many endemic and migratory animals and valuable species of wetland wildlife.
Another evidence that the terminal is contributing to environmental protection of the region is to develop and finance the projects aimed at reducing emissions.
Besides the above-mentioned environmental activity, the company is actively developing staff through internal and external training.
