Georgia determines term for selling shares

The shares of the main gas pipeline North-South in Georgia will be put at foreign exchange by 2011, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said at a meeting with Chinese businessmen in Shanghai.

He offered Chinese businessmen to buy shares.

The information about the possible sale of shares of the gas pipeline was disseminated in spring.

Then members of the government and parliament said that they do not plant to sell a controlling stake. It was planned to sell only 10-15 percent stake of the Oil and Gas Corporation, which owns the gas pipeline.
