Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri is satisfied with the amount of investments that have been made in the energy sector this year.
Khetaguri told media that the 2008 August war with Russia did not affect the implementation of projects in the energy sector.
"All of the projects scheduled for 2009 and 2010 started on time," he said. "These were the Mtkvari, Paravan, Luhuni and Bakhva hydroelectric power stations."
The minister also touched on future projects, noting that the government plans to implement projects to build a Namahvan hydroelectric power station and two 100-megawatt hydroelectric power stations in 2011.
Telasi, a subsidiary of the Russian United Energy Systems and the Czech Enogopro-Georgia, will implement one of the 100-megawatt projects.
Khetaguri also noted that the ministry plans to start constructing another 200-megawatt hydroelectric power station in 2011.
