Kazakhstan, Astana, Jan. 18 / Trend A.Maratov /

The Kazakh National Company KazMunaiGazs' (KMG) subsidiary in Romania - Rompetrol has entered into an annual contract with Tengizchevroil (TCO) for the supply of the Tengiz gas in the amount of 3,000 tons per month, Rompetrol Gas Deputy General Manager Adilbek Batalov said in an interview with Trend on Tuesday.

"We have concluded an annual contract with the TCO for the supply of the Tengiz gas in the amount of 3,000 tons per month," Batalov said.

He said the Tengiz gas, which is renowned for its properties, is used for automotive gas of high quality.

The Tengiz gas is delivered by rail through Ukraine to Romania.

"Automobile gas sold through gas filling stations is quite a promising line of business in Europe," Batalov said.

He recalled that the discovery of such a business is linked with the fact that previously Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev raised the issue of entrance of Kazakhstan to world markets, not only with its raw material, but also with products with higher added value.

The Rompetrol Group NV is 100-percent subsidiary of KMG-processing and marketing. "
