A number of gas stations that will operate in Ukraine under SOCAR brand will reach 500 units within five years, SOCAR Ukrainian representative office said.
"By late 2011, the number of gas stations will reach to 50 units, and within five years to 500 units," the source said.
According to him, now Ukraine has seven gas stations operating under SOCAR brand.
Recently SOCAR's five gas stations were commissioned in Ukraine. All of them are located along the highway Odessa-Nikolaev-Yuzhnoukrainsk.
SOCAR has a network of over 60 gas stations in Georgia and began to create a network of gas stations in Azerbaijan. Also the company has already announced intentions to enter the retail market of oil products of Romania, which means access to the EU market.
