The technical level of gas stations in Azerbaijan allows the use of the highest European standards, head of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents Ramiz Hasanov said at a news conference at the headquarters of the ruling New Azerbaijan party.
"The level of gas stations in Azerbaijan is high. This allows us to introduce the highest standards here," he said. At present, filling stations are functioning in Azerbaijan on the basis of GOST standards.
Roughly 162 standards, prepared upon the standards of the EU and regional standards, were registered in Azerbaijan as of 2010, Hasanov said.
