In 2010, the Baku power plantgenerated about 470.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity compared to the projected 452.2 million kilowatt-hours, the JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan) reported on Monday.
In January, the station had generated more than 47.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity compared to the projected 47 million, the report said.
The Baku power plantwas commissioned in February 2007. Power station consisting of 12 units has a capacity of 105 megawatts.
