The U.S General Electric Energy intends to participate in the implementation of power projects in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekenergo State Joint Stock Company told Trend.
In particular, the U.S company is planning to take part in the projects to modernize Tolimarjon and Tashkent thermal power plants.
According to an Uzbekenergo representative, General Electric is currently involved in the tender for the reconstruction of the Tolimarjon TPP in the Uzbek Kashkadarya region.
Uzbekenergo announced a tender to choose a contractor for the turnkey construction of two combined cycle plants at Tolimarjon power station with 450 megawatts and an initial price of $893 million in November last year.
The project is worth $1.28 billion.
