Baku TPP generates over 98 mln kilowatt hours of electricity in Jan.-Feb.

In February, the Baku thermal power plant (TPP) generated over 46 million kilowatt hours of electricity compared to more than 52 million kilowatt hours in January, Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the Azerbaijani regions) reported today.
The plant generated over 98 million kilowatt hours of electricity and more than 79,000 Gcal of thermal energy in total in January-February.
The Baku thermal power plant fully meets the needs of the Azerneftyag oil refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and "Azeristiliktedzhizat", which are the main consumers of the thermal power plant.
It is envisaged to inspect the units in order to improve efficiency of the units in March. Work is carried out to purchase the necessary spare parts and materials.

Also work is underway to modernize the 110-kilovolt substation.
