Turkmengas organizes Turkmenistan International Gas Congress

The Turkmengas State Concern organizes Turkmenistan International Gas Congress (TGC 2011). The event will be held at Nebitchi Hotel on May 25-26, the Concern said today.

The Chevron, ENI, LG International, RWE, Hyundai Engineering, BP, Dragon Oil, Exxon, Honeywell, OMV, Petrofac, Petronas, Shell, Statoil and Total confirmed the sponsorship of the Congress.

More than 500 delegates and 50 speakers will address the International Turkmenistan Gas Conference.

Investment opportunities of Turkmenistan, commitment to dialogue, and the willingness to implement and support new projects is demonstrated by the recent multi-billion dollar contracts awarded to international companies.

Development of sound and effective legal framework, with the passage of the recent "Law on Hydrocarbon Resources", creates favorable investment climate in the country.

The law regulates the activities of foreign investors in accordance with international standards, thus guaranteeing a strong and effective tool to attract major foreign investments.
