The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) stopped the process of gas extraction from the Kalmaz underground gas storage facility in Azerbaijan, a source in SOCAR said on Monday.
Azerbaijan has two underground gas storage facilities - Garadag and Kalmaz.
"The process of gas extraction from the Kalmaz underground gas storage facility has been stopped this morning," the source said.
He said that the process of gas extraction gas from the Garadagh underground gas storage facility is still underway, and 4.87 million cubic meters is daily extracted from the underground gas storage facility.
The season of gas extraction from underground gas storage facilities ends on April 15, but it delayed a little due to bad weather conditions this year.
