Shell develops Kazakh oil and gas development plan

Shell has completed the development of an oil and gas technological development plan for Kazakhstan, Royal Dutch Shell Executive Director Matthias Bichsel said in Astana.

"The plan, developed by us and submitted to the Kazakh government, gives a comprehensive definition of priority areas for technological development," he said. "They include building a geological model of deposits, the increased use of wells and industrial safety."

He said the document has registered more than 100 technological complexities.

Shell is a shareholder in North Caspian Opereiting Company's consortium, developing the world's largest Kashagan field.
