Iran to help Pakistan in electricity production

Iran expressed readiness to assist Pakistan in electricity production by using coal, wind, water and solar energy, Fars News Agency reported quoting Governor of Khorasan Mahmoud Salehi as saying.

Salehi expressed hope that Khorasan and Punjab provinces would expand agricultural and industrial cooperation.

Iranian delegation met Punjab officials and businesspersons calling for expanding economical ties.

Iran also agreed to provide every assistance to Meat Processing Plant in Lahore. Lahore Meat Complex is a joint venture between Pakistan and Iran.

The trade turnover between Iran and Pakistan is estimated to $1.3 billion. The figure is expected to increase to $1.5 billion by lifting economical obstacles.
