A fire took place on the installation at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) this morning, Nizami District Police Department told Trend.
The fire originated in oil pipes sheathing.
As a result of the incident two persons were injured, SOCAR said. According to the company, the persons got slight injuries. One of them was sent to home after providing him with first aid in the spot, while the second is undergoing treatment.
According to the preliminary reason, the fire was caused by high temperature during the repair work.
About 10 fire engines have been involved and the fire has been extinguished, the Emeregency Situations Ministry told Trend.
