Iran exchanged two furnace fuel oil cargos with northern neighbors to provide Neka's plant with fuel, SHANA reported quoting Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company Alireza Zeyghami as saying.
"Considering a long distance between Neka's plant and southern refineries, Iran exchanged 2 furnace fuel oil cargos with northern neighbors and delivers fuel to the customers in Persian Gulf instead," he said.
The country exchanged furnace fuel oil to provide Neka's plant with required fuel to reduce gas supplied to the plants and their needs for fuel.
He stressed the necessary measures have been applied to exchange other oil products including gas oil, LPG.
The National Iranian Oil Company will exchange a total of 100,000 barrels of crude oil with neighboring countries in Caspian Sea to provide the Tehran and Tabriz Refineries with fuel.
The furnace fuel oil operation increases when a cold season begins and gas consumption in plants is reduced, he added.
The National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company exchanges liquid gas, gasoline, gas- oil and furnace fuel oil with neighboring countries in Central Asia.
The volume of products exchanged from 2004 to 2009 estimated to 1.657 million tons.
