The Japanese Hitachi has started supplying equipment for the modernization of the Tashkent combined heat and power station with a total cost of $38 million.
Uzbekenergo said the first batch of equipment includes spare parts for gas turbine and a generator. They were supplied by the Japanese company.
Basic technological equipment, including a gas turbine, a gas turbine generator and boiler. will be supplied in the fourth quarter of this year and will be completed in the first half of 2012.
