The National Iranian Gas Company has added two new power plants to the western regions' general network, Pananews reported, quoting Managing Director of Kermanshah Gas Company Naghi Kamali as saying.
"By completing the project the average gas consumption of power plants in Kermanshah province will increase by 5.2 million cubic meters per day and the process of gas transit to two new power plants will be possible," he said.
The two new power plants will connect to a gas network which is 12- kilometers in length.
Currently 60 power plants are connected to Iran's gas network with a prediction that 10 new plants will join the network this solar year (started on March20, 2011).
