The National Iranian Oil Company discovered new gas field in southern Iran with considerable amount of proved reserves , Director of Exploration Affairs of National Iranian Oil Company Mohamoud Mohades as saying.
"The newly discovered gas field located in south of Iran in onshore regions with a considerable proved reserves," he said.
Farzad gas field with considerable reserves will join the list of new explorations of National Iranian Oil Company alongside 2 other fields, he added.
The National Iranian Oil Company is expected to explore 5 new fields in current year (started on March 20, 2011).
The body recently announced the exploration of Khayam gas field in east of Assaluyeh while details of new gas fields submitted to National Iranian Oil Company and Oil Ministry.
The National Iranian Oil Company installed drilling rigs in 3 new discovered field, one of these field is Farzad gas field however the precise volume of reserves has not been evaluated yet
