SOCAR to operate in Turkmen sector of Caspian Sea

SOCAR's "Neftqaztikinti" trust (Neftegazstroy) has concluded a subcontracting agreement with the "Level Oil & Gas Corporation" to conduct operations in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR's report posted on its official website said.

SOCAR's "Neftqaztikinti" trust (Neftegazstroy) has concluded a subcontracting agreement with the "Level Oil & Gas Corporation" to conduct operations in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR's report posted on its official website said.

The agreement provides for complex operations to load the offshore platform LAM-C, its transportation and installation in the sea.

According to the agreement, the trust will transport and install two basic units, consisting of four parts weighing about 200 tons, the topsides of the four pieces weighing about 400 tons, two mooring sites, a torch, a crane and other facilities.

The work is planned to be completed within three months.

The project customer is Dragon oil company involved in the development of fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. The general contractor is Turkish firm Ilk Insaat Taahhut Sanayi Ve Ticaret.
