Belarus stops oil production in Iran, a representative of the Belorusneft Company told RIA Novosti.
"The project for the oil production on Jofeir field is halted," he said. However, he did not specify the reasons for such a decision.
Belarusian news website "Charter 97", in turn, argues that the reasons for termination of oil production in Iran are rooted in disagreements with the oil company of Iran.
Belarus signed the contract to develop Jofeir oil field in Iran in 2007. It was expected that production will exceed 3,500 barrels per day.
