Iran issues 4.5 bln euro in bonds to boost oil industry

The Central Bank of Iran has issued € 4.5 billion bonds in the past five months of the year to boost the country's oil industry, ILNA reported quoting Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Iran Hamid Pourmohammadi as saying.

"The Central Bank of Iran issued $ 5 billion bonds in last solar year(ended on March20,2011) to aid the oil industry and it issued € 4.5 billion in past 5 months," he said.

Iran is the world's second largest reserves of gas and third in oil reserves currently faces US sanctions over its nuclear program.
