The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to open an ecological park created in the territory of the Khazar district in Baku on Sept.20, SOCAR Ecological Department said on its official website.
According to the report, 40 percent of the park's needs in electricity will be ensured at the expense of alternative energy sources. In particular, four wind generators for power generation with capacity of 10 kilowatt-hours each, as well as solar batteries with total capacity of 20 kilowatt-hours were installed in the park.
The total volume of electricity, to be generated at the expense of alternative energy sources, hits 60 kilowatt-hours.
The ecological park is being created in an area of 9.3 hectares.
