Ukraine expects to transport 1.5 million tons of Azerbaijani oil via the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline and one of the Druzhbabranches to a Czech oil refinery in Kralupy in 2012, Ukrtransnafta CEO OleksandrLazorko was quoted as saying by Ukrinform.

"We plan to transport 1.5 million tons of the Caspian oil a year to the Czech Republic in 2012," Lazorko told journalists during the First International Oil Summit in Kiev.

Lazorko said Ukrtransnafta together with the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) prepares for a trial supply of Azeri light to the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. The volume of test delivery, which is planned in the near future, will be about 300,000 tons.

SOCAR negotiates with the Czech and Slovak parties to supply Azerbaijani oil to the markets of these countries, SOCAR's deputy vice-president Vitaly Beylarbayov said earlier.

He said that the matter rests in mastering the routes of oil supply not only to the territory of the Czech Republic but also Slovakia and Hungary if it is possible.
