Iran 's oil export will increase by 50,000 barrels of oil per day after installing desalinating units in oil regions, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Technical Manager of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company Ahmad Pourhadi as saying.
"Construction of two desalination units in Gachsaran and Bibi Hakimeh oil regions will increase country's oil export capacity by 50,000 barrels of oil export per day," he said.
He added installing new compressors in Bibi Hakimeh oil region and new gas complex will inject gas into general pipeline in Assalouyeh while construction of oil pipeline in Ganaveh oil region would transfer oil to Kharg islands.
Iran exported average of 400,000 to 450,000 barrels of crude oil per day to Europe from the start of 2011 up to now.
Iran has OPEC's second-highest oil output, and ranks second in the world in terms of natural gas reserves after Russia.
