China 's CNPCI Company has executed Masjed Soleiman oil field development plan, however Iran has refused to assign operation of this field's upstream sector to Chinese company, Mehr News Agency reported.
It was expected that the CNPCI will continue the development of Masjied Soleiman oil field by repairing installations in upstream sector including by digging new oil wells and d esalting crude oil, but the National Iranian Oil Company refused to assign the development of upstream sector of the Masjed Soleiman oil field to the Chinese company.
Masjied Soleiman oil field's current oil production hits 28,000 barrels of oil per day, while the National Iranian Oil Company aims to increase oil field's production by 25,000 barrels of oil per day.
The National Iranian Oil Company's experts revealed 2,000 technical problems with the Masjied Soleiman development project, which is the main reason to remove the CNPCI from this project's upstream sector.
Iran signed Masjied Soleiman development project worth $200 million with CNPCI five years ago.
