Iran 's Energy Ministry will assign private sector to build 45 power plants alongside 21 power companies, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Deputy Energy Minister Mohammad Behzad as saying.
"We have prepared 45 power plants to assign to private sector and the Iranian Privatization Organization will cooperate on the case," he said.
He noted 35 power plants will be assigned in the first phase and 10 will be assigned in second, the numbers of assignment will cover 80 percent of country's power stations.
A total of 50 percent of country's power plants will be assigned to private sector by the end of current year (started on March 20,2011), he added.
