Construction of a hydropower plant with a capacity of 20 megawatts has started in Kazbegi region (Eastern Georgia, near the border between Georgia and Russia) on the Terek River. The construction is conducted by Energy Company, a source at the Georgian Ministry of Energy told Trend on Monday.
The construction will cost $20 million.
According to the department of investment projects of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the construction of hydropower plant will be completed in October 2013.
