Ecuador is interested in energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, the country's Foreign Minister Ricardo Armando Patiño Aroca told journalists in Baku.
He said Ecuador, as well as Azerbaijan, have mutual interests as oil producers although not in such large quantities.
Despite this he went on to say, Ecuador has its market and customers in the Mediterranean-Black Sea region, and Azerbaijan could become a bridge between suppliers and consumers.
He added his country will increase the supply of its shrimp, flowers, cocoa and banana products to Azerbaijan.
