Turkmenistan auctions about 380,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 380,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange on Wednesday.

The country put as stock trades about 30,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, over 90,000 tons of gasoline, over 140,000 tons of diesel fuel, 40,000 tons of liquefied gas, 40,000 tons of oil coke, about 30,000 tons of polypropylene and 10,000 tons of furnace oil.

Companies from Iran, as well as the Virgin and Bahamas Islands bought gasoline and diesel fuel last week. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $59 million.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, Iran, China, Switzerland and Liechtenstein and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
