Tajikistan's governmental delegation headed by the country's deputy Prime-Minister Murodali Alimardonov left for Uzbekistan to discuss the issue of gas supplies for 2012 on Thursday, Avesta.tj reported.

The sides plan to settle gas export from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, as well as determine its price and volumes.

According to preliminary data, Tajikistan's gas demand is 2 billion cubic meters per year.

Last year Uzbekistan exported 180 million cubic meters of gas to Tajikistan.

According to Tajikistan's reports, Uzbekistan canceled gas supplies to Tajikistan on Jan. 4.
