The JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (KMG EP) Board of Directors has decided to call an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, during which changes will be made to the Board of Directors of KMG EP, a spokesperson said on Monday.
"The agenda of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders includes early termination of powers of a member of the company's board of directors and the appointment of a replacement member," the report says.
The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders will take place on Feb.27, 2012 in Astana.
KMG EP is among the top three Kazakh oil and gas producers. The overall production in 2010 was 13.3mt (an average of 270kbopd) of crude oil, including the Company's share in Kazgermunai, CCEL (JSC Karazhanbasmunai) and PKI (PetroKazakhstan Inc.). The total volume of proved and probable reserves as at the end of 2010 was 232mt (1.7bn bbl), including shares in the associates - about 2.2 billion barrels.
