Azerbaijani oil made up 29 percent of all oil transshipment by Georgian Railway in 2011, the Railway told Trend via e-mail.
Georgian railway transported 997,063 tons of Azerbaijani crude oil and 2.038 million tons of Azerbaijani oil products in 2011. The total amount of oil and oil products transshipped by Georgian Railway hit 10.46 million tons in 2011.
In general, Georgian Railway transshipped 3.528 million tons of different Azerbaijani cargo in 2011.
The main Azerbaijani commodity transported by Georgian Railway in 2011 are iron and manganese ore (219,240 tons), construction materials (90,313 tons), grain (17,462 tons), ferrous metals (3,267 tons). Remains of Azerbaijani cargos transshipped by Georgian Railway in 2011 made up 162.540 million tons.
