The expenditures on contracts and orders in projects operated by the British company BP in Azerbaijan amounted to about 1.21 billion manat in 2011, BP said.
BP's expenditures under contracts and purchase orders in Azerbaijan amounted to about $1.03 billion in 2010 compared to $982 million in 2009.
The cost of contracts for small and medium-sized enterprises (of 204) amounted to $281 million, of public companies (25) - $37 million, joint venture with local partner (13) - $378 million in 2011. Costs of foreign contractors in the country amounted to $522 million in 2011.
Some $3.12 million has been spent for the projects in the framework of social responsibility in 2011.
The projects on development of offshore Azerbaijani fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" worth $0.76 million, "Shah Deniz" - $0.51 million pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline - $1 67 million. BP has spent $0.18 million within own social responsibility projects.
