Tashkent to host annual int’l exhibition ‘Oil and Gas Uzbekistan’ in mid-May

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued an order to hold the 16-th International Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan" (OGU-2012) in Tashkent.

According to the order, the exhibition will be organized by the National Holding Company (NHC) "Uzbekneftegaz" together with "ITE Exhibitions & Conferences LTD" (UK) and will be held on May 15-17, 2012.

An international conference "Modernization and technological re-equipment of oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan" will be held within the exhibition.

These events are traditionally held to introduce advanced technologies and attract additional foreign investments in oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan.

NHC "Uzbekneftegaz" will participate in the OGU-2012 with a single stand.

NHC "Uzbekneftegaz" is the exclusive operator of oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan, which ensures production of more than 90 percent of hydrocarbons in the country, was founded in 1998 and unites 6 joint stock companies.

The capacity of the holding allows providing natural gas production in the volume of 70 billion cubic meters of gas and 8 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons per year.

According to official statistics, in 2011 oil production in the country dropped by 5.8 percent compared to 2010 and amounted to 1.889 million tons, gas condensate - by 9.8 percent - to 1.696 million tons, natural gas production decreased by 4.4 percent - to 63.04 billion cubic meters.
