Kyrgyzstan plans to attract roughly $500 million investments for gas pipelines reconstruction and repair, 24.kg reported with the reference to Kyrgyzgaz's Director General Turgunbek Kulmurzaev.

"All gas equipment in Kyrgyzstan requires reconstruction. Thus, we should attract investments to restore them," Kulmurzaev said.

Kulmurzaev said that currently Kyrgyzstan is carrying out the reconstruction of the gas pipeline in the area below the Big Chu Canal.

"The pipes were laid under the ground here, although they should be on the ground. It is necessary to identify such defects to minimize accidents and loss of fuel," Kulmurzaev said.
