In January-March, the Turkish State Pipeline Company Botas imported about 12.74 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources compared to 10.88 billion cubic meters in January- March 2011, Botas official website reported on Monday.
Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan, which is supplied via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline.
In 2011, the Turkish State Pipeline Company Botas imported more than 39.7 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources compared to about 32.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
Some 112 million cubic meters of gas accounted for Botas's export operations in January-March. compared to 186 million cubic meters during the same period of 2011. Some 726 million cubic meters of gas fall to export operations last year compared to 660 million cubic meters of gas in 2010.
Some 12.85 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in January-March 2012 on the Turkish domestic market compared to 11.68 billion during the same period of 2011.
About 39.4 billion cubic meters of gas were sold on the Turkish domestic market in 2011 compared to about 31.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
