Kazakhstan to develop cooperation with ExxonMobil

Kazakhstan will develop cooperation with U.S. ExxonMobil Oil and Gas Company, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with ExxonMobil's Chairman of Board Rex Tillerson, the presidential press-service reported.

"We intend to develop our cooperation. ExxonMobil is an important partner of Kazakhstan because it helps us to develop our national economy and natural resources rapidly and effectively," Nazarbayev said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev and Rex Tillerson met on Wednesday within the Fifth Astana Economic Forum.

In turn, Tillerson also expressed confidence in further development of partnership relations with Kazakhstan.

ExxonMobil is the world's largest private oil company. The Corporation has been operating in Kazakhstan for already 19 years. It participates in the North Caspian and Tengiz oil projects, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and the draft project of the Kazakhstan Caspian Transportation System.
