The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.973 billion cubic meters in January-April, 2012, compared to 4.497 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.
In April, 2012, gas exports in the country amounted to 1.022 billion cubic meters compared to 872 million cubic meters in April last year. Thus, last month, 2012, exports of gas in the country amounted to 31.1 percent under production of 3.283 billion cubic meters.
Imports of gas in the country in January-April, 2012 amounted to 858 million cubic meters compared to 2.612 billion during the same period of 2011. In April 2012, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 120 million cubic meters, which is 57.3 percent less than the previous month and 66 percent less than in April, 2011.
